“Otsujito” was developed by Nanyo Hara, a well-known medical scholar in the Edo period, as a Chinese herbal medicine formula specializing in hemorrhoids. The content of the formula was subsequently improved, which has been widely used up to the present time.
"The gentle defecation action regulates bowel movements.
This medicine is suitable for people with moderate or higher physical strength who have hard stool and constipation tendency. It is effective in these people for hemorrhoids, anal fissure, and mild anal prolapse.
"Usage/Capacity
Take the following dosages 3 times a day with water or warm water before or between meals.
- Adult (15 years old and over)
- 4 tablets
- Under 14 years old 7 years old and over
- 3 tablets
- Under 6 years old 5 years old and over
- 2 tablets
- Less than 5 years
- Do not use

The daily dose of 12 tablets (380 mg/tablet) contains 2,520 mg of Otsujito extract from the following mixed crude drugs;
Japanese Angelica Root 3.6 g, Bupleurum Root 3.0 g, Scutellaria Root 1.8 g, Glycyrrhiza 1.2 g, Cimicifuga Rhizome 0.9 g, Rhubarb 0.6 g.
As inactive ingredients, this medicine contains Cellulose, Silicon Dioxide, Croscarmellose Sodium, Crospovidone, and Magnesium Stearate.

Following symptoms in persons with moderate or more physical strength performance who have hard stools and a tendency to constipation: Hemorrhoids, anal fissure, constipation, and mild anal prolapse.
